Infomed experience will be presented in the event
One of the Cuban experiences in the field of using Information and Communication Technologies in Health is the construction and development of Infomed Net. Participants in the event can interchange directly with those who had worked in this net creation and development.
The "Journal of Medical Internet Research", which is considered as one of the principal scientific magazines on health issues and information and communication technologies in the world, has published a scientific article stating that Infomed is a model for integrating health information in the fields of assistance, research, investigation, education, and services.
This paper points out that "Internet and communication Technologies contribute to the infrastructure of the national health and extend global markets of health services. The Cuban system of health offer a model showing how a national portal of health information can contribute to the integration of health systems including investigation, education, and providing services as well as international interchange of health and services products".
